We’re looking for people who live in the Bay Area to participate in a study that is testing an investigational study device as a potential new method to help manage blood sugar levels.

We are looking for adults to take part in a paid device study in San Diego. The Orange Biomed OBM rapid A1c At Home provides a quantitative measurement of the percent of glycated hemoglobin (%HbA1c, %A1C) levels in whole blood samples. The test is being developed under standard Design Controls in anticipation of FDA 510(k) clearance for over-the-counter use in monitoring long-term glycemic control for people with diabetes. The total study duration is 1 visit. 

Once participants undergo the sampling procedures for the finger sticks (additional finger sticks may be necessary due to an inadequate blood drop obtained but with no more than a total of three finger sticks performed) and one venous draw (two attempts are allowed for the study), their study participation is complete. 

There will be no cost to you for the study drug, visits, tests, or supplies that are required for the study.
